At Inquisitive Kids SA, I as a sole trader am a dedicated social work clinician specializing in supporting the development of neurodivergent children and youth. Inquisitive Kids SA provides personalized 1:1 therapy sessions as well as indirect support through resource creation to help build self-regulation, self-management, executive functioning, social thinking skills, flexible thinking, self-esteem, and anxiety management. My holistic approach empowers young individuals to thrive in home, school, and community settings. Inquisitive Kids SA is a private organisation which works alongside the NDIS and it's participants and is a mobile service currently based in the inner suburbs of Adelaide however please get in touch as we can service a number of regions.

Emotional Regulation

By developing emotional resilience, emotion awareness, and identifying coping strategies your child or youth can learn and generalise these skills to help manage big and unpleasant emotions.
Flexible Thinking
Flexible thinking skills allows children and youth to develop resilience, emotional regulation skills, flexibility with changes in routines and schedules throughout school and daily life.
Social Thinking Skills
Social thinking support involves developing key social interaction skills for your child or youth to learn and apply perspective taking skills, social observation skills, and social communication skills to help with developing and maintain relationships, and navigating unexpected social situations.
Social & Friendship Skills
Inquisitive Kids SA provides your child or youth to learn the foundational friendship skills and navigate unexpected social challenges they may face when initiating play, building friendships, managing social conflict and learning to maintain friendships long term.
Inclusion Support & School Engagement
At Inquisitive Kids SA inclusion support is provided through developing trust and transparency with families and key school personnel to not only advocate for your child or youth by providing recommendations but ultimately assist with any adjustments needed for your child or youth to thrive at school.
Anxiety Management
As school and daily life continually invokes much anxiety for neurodivergent children and youth Inquisitive Kids SA can teach the foundations of what anxiety might look, sound and feel like, how to recognise when anxiety is influencing their behaviours, understand triggers which invoke an anxiety response, and develop overall self-awareness so that coping strategies explored in therapy can be generalised into school and daily living to manage the unpleasantries caused by anxiety.
Executive Function
Inquisitive Kids SA can provide support for the 8 key executive functions including emotional control, flexible thinking, impulse control, organisation skills, task initiation, working memory, self-monitoring, and planning and prioritisation to assist with developing their wellbeing and self-esteem, and vital skills to develop independence in daily living and school life.
Self Esteem & Confidence
Amongst the challenges in managing the stress of school and daily life Inquisitive Kids SA can assist with developing your child or youth's positive thinking skills, social problem solving skills, identify their own strengths and passions, learning to advocate for themselves and improve overall wellbeing.
Routines, Schedules & Transitioning
Support can be provided in consultation with schools and families to develop routines and schedules to help increase predictability throughout the day and reduce anxieties. Primary and High School Transitioning support can also be provided to assist with smooth transitions through an array of activities which prepare your child or youth with the necessary skills to thrive throughout their school journey.

Nic from Inquisitive Kids holds a Master of Social Work and Bachelor of Psychological Science degree while having 4+ years of experience providing therapeutic support to children, young people and their families.
Strong therapeutic support is characterised by developing positive and empowering relationships, through strength-based, and trauma informed approaches while applying an understanding of children and young people in their environment. Nic is dedicated to work holistically with children, young people, families, schools and allied health professionals contributing to the team around the child. Nic values transparency, social justice and has a strong emphasis on the importance of developing positive relationships to create best outcomes.
